Planeta源於西西里島西部的Menfi產區，該地的湖畔栽種著多樣的原生葡萄品種。在西西里島紮根了數百年，經歷了17代的傳承後，這舵交到了莊主迪亞哥（Diego Planeta）的手上。在他的帶領下，家族的製酒事業逐漸成形，從一間小形的家族酒莊，變成稍具規模的合作社，最終，迪亞哥在1985年正式成立了Planeta。
Sicily擁有著悠長的釀酒歷史，得天獨厚的葡萄種植環境也造就了許多現代風格的酒莊崛起，而傳統與現代這兩者間碰撞時所蹦出的火花，則讓無數葡萄酒愛好者與專家們趨之若鶩，紛紛來到這孕育葡萄酒多樣性的寶島一探究竟。
以往作為入門餐酒的大量生產地區，為了迎合市場需求，西西里島某種程度上更像是個新世界產區，島上滿布了如Chardonnay、Syrah甚至是Cabernet Sauvignon等各式國際品種。經過多年的努力，這些國際品種也累積出了足夠的實力在國際舞台上和其他世界佳釀一較雌雄。
Made withGrecanicoGrillo andSauvignon Blanc, this offers enticing scents of fragrant yellow flower, honeydew melon and citrus. The creamy, enveloping palate offers grapefruit, peach, tropical fruit and note of chopped Mediterranean herb.
Leuchtendes Strohgelb. Feine, ansprechende Nase, zeigt Noten nach Ginsterblüten, etwas frischer Apfel, Pfirsich. Zeigt am Gaumen schönes Spiel, salzig, strömt ruhig dahin, im Finale langer Nachhall mit schöner Frucht.
Generous and crisp, this is a prototypical Sicilian dry white. A slew of Mediterranean herbs, but also citrus zest and some ripe nectarine. So much juicy fruit at the finish.
The nose unfurls to reveal notes of apricot, talc, guava, tangerine and flowers. The palate is textured with good intensity, fine length and plenty of tropical fruit flavour.
